Having been introduced in the 1992 Summer Olympics, Competitor has been used in most major swimming championships. The patented flow-through design controls water turbulence by allowing wave energy to be dispersed and channeled along the length of the lane. Each lane consists of a series of 4 inch or 6 inch plyethylene disks and donuts assembled on vinyl coated, stainless steel cable. The disks are designed to rotated independently of the other, allowing wave energy to be absorbed and dispersed within the channel of the lane. This technology allows for the best training and competing conditions.
