Assistant Swimming Coach - Are you positive, soft-spoken, and patient? Do you want a part-time job working with children and adults? This may be a great job for you. Candidates must have experience working with children and know the four strokes to teach. Previous competitive swimming experience is desirable. Required certifications: WSI and ASCA certifications, current CPR, First Aid and Safety Training for Swim Coaches.
Swimming Instructor - Are you the BEST SWIM TEACHER that you know? If so, we want you to be part of our TEAM, the SwimGym Swim School. A swim school is only as good as its teachers. This challenging and rewarding job uses proven programming, curriculum, and methods designed by Coach Strauss. Certifications Required: American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, CPR, and First Aid. (Life Guarding Certification preferred, but not required.)
Lifeguard - We are looking for responsible, punctual, and alert individuals, who remain calm in an emergency and can take control of a potentially dangerous situation. A good lifeguard has those qualities. If you have them, too, then we are looking for you. Certifications Required: American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or equivalent. Limited experience is required with a letter of recommendation as is in-house training.
Coach: Kayak, Canoe, Sailing, Fishing, Water Polo, Monofin, Indo Board, Log Rolling, Winch Wake-Boarding, Open Water Swimming, Swimming (stroke technique and skill advancement), Rock Climbing - Are you 18-years or older with a passion for teaching one of our aquatic sports? Would you like to share your knowledge with children of all ages? Swim Gym has the perfect summer job. Some previous camp and teaching experience is required; previous competition experience is a plus. You will be responsible for daily care of your equipment. You must present a 6-8 day lesson plan to the Camp Director prior to the first day of camp. Certifications required: Water Safety Instructor or Small Craft Instructor, Red Cross CPR and First Aid.
Skipper - Are you interested in rewarding work with others as you teach and motivate children? If you are 17 years or older, have a love for aquatic sports, and want to participate actively with campers, then SwimGym has the perfect summer job as a camp skipper. As a member of the staff, skippers assist coaches at their respective stations and establish harmony within their group. Certifications required: Red Cross CPR and First Aid. SwimSchool Receptionist - You must be computer literate. You will answer phones, write letters, develop calendars, intelligently use communication lines, and create neat swim meet entries and result posting.
Camp Receptionist - Our summer camp needs someone to be the backbone of communication among parents, staff, and campers. You will answer the phone, take messages, organize and distribute the arts & crafts supplies to counselors, and control the administrative office during camp hours. |
